KYLE LANGAN | AUTHOR

Kyle Langan is a bestselling author, award-winning blogger, and founder of the media company, KJL Media. He was born on March 19, 1988 in Denver, Colorado, to Patrick Langan, a multimedia art director, and Felicia Clause Jackson, a portrait photographer.

After graduating college in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Kyle moved to the Hamptons for two summers where he had vacationed with his family as a child. While working as a waiter, he was a writer for publications like Guest of a Guest, the East Hampton Star, and American Beauty Magazine, and also started the blog, Waiting in the Hamptons..., where he gave a tongue-in-cheek glimpse into what it was like to serve popular celebrities in the Hamptons. The blog was met with positive acclaim.

Kyle then moved to Los Angeles and started another successful blog called Hamptons to Hollywood; a lifestyle site that gave recommendations on travel, fashion, food, and events. Hamptons to Hollywood expanded into a podcast, a product line, a documentary, and an online store that curated products from local Hamptons and Hollywood artisans. He partnered with brands like BMW, the E! Network, The Surf Lodge, The Screen Actors Guild, and more.

After consulting with various clients over the years on the copywriting and social media marketing best practices he mastered while running Hamptons to Hollywood, Kyle founded KJL Media in 2017. Through the company, Kyle has taught courses on social media for the City of West Hollywood and currently works with clients in real estate, life coaching, entertainment, medicine, and more to elevate their content and media presence. He was also a contributing writer for The Los Angeles Times.

In March of 2021, after regaining the rights to his first book deal, Kyle published his debut novel, UNCHARTED WATERS, which is the first in a series of coming of age books set in the Hamptons in the vein of Gossip Girl and The Breakfast Club. The book was met with positive praise. In August of 2021, the sequel, UNCHARTED HORIZONS was released. A third book in the Uncharted Waters Trilogy is coming soon. His third book, CONFESSIONS OF A CALLBOY became a national bestseller and was the #1 Erotic Thriller on Amazon in June 2022.

Kyle's novels have been heralded for infusing new & young adult stories with mature adult themes like self-acceptance, socioeconomic and class issues, escapism, and sexuality. His books explore modern day culture and its impact on society through his signature splashy and humorous wit, but with profound insights.
